Well known as the “stress hormone”, cortisol plays an indispensable role in life activities. In past few decades, accurate information about intracorporal level of has been proven to be important and effective indicator for evaluating physical mental states diagnosing a series pressure-induced diseases. Hence, various rapid efficient sensing technologies with high sensitivity selectivity low detection limit have developed. This review examines most recent works progress via immunoassay, highlighting construction sensitive sensor systems. We aimed provide comprehensive description aspects general optical electrochemical methods, novel immunosensing systems, advanced portable wearable devices. Outlooks suggestions development continuous real-time monitoring techniques devices were finally provided.
